LONG ENDORSES RUBIO
Calls on Fellow Candidates to do Likewise
Conservative Republican candidate for U.S. Congress, District 8, Todd Long announced his formal endorsement of Marco Rubio today and called upon all of his fellow primary challengers to do the same. “Marco appeared on my radio show The Conservative Comeback several times and I have been supporting his campaign from the outset,” said Long. “We both share the same vision and values of our Founders and Reagan. Marco is a true warrior who will fight for solutions based on these values.”
“I wrote in my book, The Conservative Comeback, that the Rubio vs. Crist race would be the first important battle for the soul of the Republican Party. I call on my fellow primary challengers to endorse Rubio to ensure that solution-oriented conservatism is alive and well in the U.S. Senate,” Long added.

THE MIRACLE IN MASS.
Candidate Todd Long Congratulates Scott Brown

Orlando — Last night, State Senator Scott Brown became the first Republican in a generation to win the Massachusetts U.S. Senate seat once held by Ted Kennedy. Brown’s victory over State Attorney General Martha Coakley is disquieting news for the Democratic leadership on Capitol Hill. According to Republican candidate for Congress Todd Long, this could be a sign of bigger things to come for the conservative movement.
“Brown’s amazing victory last night in Massachusetts, together with the Republican victories in New Jersey and Virginia, are proof that independents are not in favor of the Democrats’ healthcare bill, their-out-of-control spending, the cap-and-trade bill or terrorists being treated as citizens with constitutional protections. Independents want low taxes, fiscal responsibility, an energy policy using all of our resources, an end to illegal immigration and an effective government that solves problems, not creates them,” said Todd Long.

Long added, “The majority of Americans desire what the Todd Long campaign is fighting for: which is a return to our Founders’ vision of a free people with a thriving private-sector economy, states’ rights, and a very limited, effective federal government that does a few things well. The key for America now is to continue to replace these self-serving career politicians with statesmen who will truly honor our Constitution.”

Tancredo Endorses Long
Former Republican Presidential Candidate, Congressman Tom Tancredo Endorses Todd Long forFlorida’s Eighth District

Orlando — Former Republican Presidential candidate and Congressman Tom Tancredo announced today that he is endorsing Todd Long for Congress in his bid to unseat incumbent Democrat Alan Grayson in Florida’s 8th District.
“I enthusiastically support the candidacy of Todd Long for Congress. As more and more people are experiencing voter’s remorse after the last election, I have no doubt Todd’s chances of success are spectacular. With Todd you will get honesty, integrity and brains all wrapped up in a great conservative persona. Who could ask for more?” stated Congressman Tancredo.
Long said, “I am very honored to have Congressman Tancredo’s support. I have so much respect for the leadership Congressman Tancredo has shown in the fight against illegal immigration and amnesty as well as his strong conservative values. We recently worked together in Washington, D.C., during the Hold Their Feet to the Fire Summit in which conservative radio show hosts like myself and national, conservative leaders protested against the upcoming amnesty bill Democrats are seeking to pass in the next year. “

Tenth Amendment Center Endorses Long
States Rights Advocates, Activists Group Rally Behind Campaign

ORLANDO/Los Angeles — This morning, The Tenth Amendment Center endorsed Todd Long for Congress in Florida’s 8th District. The Tenth Amendment Center is a group dedicated to the preservation of State’s Rights and the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”.

Michal Boldin, Executive Director of the Tenth Amendment Center, said, “While there are many politicians and candidates who pay lip service to the Constitution and the intentions of the founders and ratifiers, very few are willing to draw a line in the sand and support the Constitution on every issue, every time – without exceptions or excuses. Governments in this country need more people like Todd Long who are willing to put their name on the line to stand up for these very principles.”

“The federal government should only do things the states and the people cannot do for themselves. This was clearly the intention of our Founders and the reason they added the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution,” said Long. “The Founders set up a system in which different states could do things in different ways because what works in Florida may not work in New Jersey and vice versa”
